Swimming Against The Wave is Like a Deliberate Act of Having A headlong Collision Against a Speedy Train

The whole world does not think the way many Domain investors are thinking, especially, on what will happen tomorrow to .com domains. This issue is given some domain investors some levels of restlessness. Though, there should be a kind of sensitive thinking on what you want to invest your money upon, but thinking awkwardly could cause a serious negative impact on investment.

What I am talking about is the way some domain investors are having a negative feelings on the upward swings of the .com domains; some were saying the .coms will soon fall and more so about their aspersion, that many other inventions are springing up that are more better than domain name system and that domain name system will soon no longer be recognized by the internet users in the next twenty years and some domain investors are planning to drop some good domains from their portfolios; for the emergence of New Gtlds.

In their opinion are that they are having some negative impact on .com and therefore, planning to drop them for New GTLDs would be a better option, and that they are now seen green light on the side of New GTLDs and especially, because of the new technology developments such as voice command on a products search on Amazon’s “Alexa”, iPhone’s “Siri” and some other voice activated answering system; that just as you always have in the past, you could ask a search engine for any products and get to the products without any hassle and without the need of any website.

But in my own personal opinion, I see no any negative impact on the side of .com domain names. All I know is that such thinking looks negative and nothing more than swimming against a fast moving wave. There is no way anyone can swim against wave and do better in such venture.

The questions I have for those set of people is, would they drop their generic one word .com domains for NGTLDs? I am very surprised to hear that domain name investors are saying .com is now old fashion, when the so called New GTLDs are still in its fetus stage.

I will like to run a comment on the publication of my mentor; Giuseppe Graziano on his last published article “
Where he picked up the story from the genesis on how coins gradually replaced the barter system and then the revolution that took place from inception to date and about how domain name now became a good exchange for huge cash and that by tomorrow the domain name system could change for another thing! Yes! Agreed, but I want to remind everybody that today; those coins are still in operation and not dead. Bitcoins and other coins are still there and not relenting as means of cash exchange.

Domain name is on its own parallel and that even tomorrow if other development take place, it may not necessarily have to do with domain name system.

I so much liked the Giuseppe article and especially how he ended his write up with the question Will domainnames still be valuable in the future?  And make some good assertion as to say no one knows what tomorrow could bring.

But John Colascione in his write up on his page was so much optimistic that Websites and Domain Names will soon become Insignificant within 20 Years or Less from now.

I want to conclude that; no one could know what tomorrow may bring, no matter the rate and high levels of scientific developments. The world approach and acceptance are what makes the direction of domain liquidity. Cheers.
